How To Get Funding For Your Apprenticeships
The government will also pay 100% of the training fees for apprentices aged 18 or under if you employ less than 50 employees.
Maths and English at level 2 are required to complete an apprenticeship but don’t worry if you have any employees that do not meet that criteria because there is fully funded training to help them get up to the standards that are required.
The following government incentives apply for both levy paying and non-levy employers.
- 1st August 2020 to 31st January 2021 – £2,000 for recruiting a new apprentice aged 16-24
- 1st August 2020 to 31st January 2021 – £1,500 for recruiting a new apprentice aged 25+
- 1st August 2020 to 31st January 2021 – An additional £1,000 for recruiting and training an apprentice aged 16-18 or 19-24 leaving care or have an EHC plan
- Employers do not have to pay NI contributions for apprentices under the age of 25 if they are below the higher tax rate of £43,000 per year
